My roof top experience at Platnium Kular Lumpar….written by Helen Olenjin during a trip to KL recently!

Holidays are good stress relief! But not just the holiday itself. When we manage “stress relief” God’s way, we can be very surprised at His response.

Meaning God does not view vacation time the same way as us! My post below was insightful. It taught me to plan my next holiday better where I find meaningful activities that feed me God’s way!

Visit an orphanage, visit a church, minister to a homeless person on the street, yes, yes, yes!! All while on holiday. When we don’t put God on hold, our stress reduces even on holidays!!

Read my post here….

The view was amazing! On the top floor! The pool, the guests, the city lights! But I didn’t feel at  peace the night we went to the pool!  I wanted to!

But I couldn’t relax and enjoy this million dollar view! Why? Was it because the buildings, city lights, roads, pool, water, people, tourists were not real joy?

The skyscrapers were so beautiful against the night sky! But as they had no spirit of God inside them and they were only human buildings/creations, they were like a wisp of wow! that lasted a short time!

After taking in the view, there was nothing left! I had seen it but I walked away feeling empty!

I guess a view no matter how beautiful is not GOD Himself and only He and His anointed work for us personally, can give us real joy!

Perhaps the view that works best is the SOUL view where we look at another soul and light their soul with agape love that is only from God.

In the shops, eating, building gazing, I see how these things don’t help me….they may abit… temporarily but then a relationship with them is very short lived and holds no real genuine power and love!

Perhaps that is why I felt so empty looking at things!!

A view can be like an idol.

Gorgeous but cold, beautiful and unable to help the deepest need in my heart!

Only God is the best view as gazing at Him is not idolatry but rather a relationship of real pure love between Him and me.

I can never love a view with pure love ❤️ ! Who can? No one! Adding humans changes everything!! Here is the chance to show real love.

Someone once said, the currency in heaven is love! So true. The currency on earth is money. What a difference!

It makes sense that tourist fun is short lived as it holds no real lasting spiritual significance if it just stops there!

Building gazing on the 50th floor pool doesn’t help me love you more. Rather I felt empty and unsatisfied. This unfiltered honest post helped to sort out my feelings.

A good reminder is that real joy comes from God Himself (even on holidays) and in the spiritual gifts He has put in my heart!

Enjoy the view but let it remind you how empty we would feel if that was all there was in life.

Only the dark sky, the tall buildings in KL, the city lights, the pool, the security guard standing there… so glad that this is not just my life!

In heaven it will be perfect. The view will be GOD HIMSELF. 🙏 That is perfection and perfect joy!

Love Helen Olenjin ❤️
