Hi Subi prayer partners,

This is my gift to you. ❤️

~The steps you take on earth, have great significance~

The LORD directs the steps of the godly.

He delights in every detail of their lives.

(Psalm 37:23)

God’s home was my safety

God’s home was my guide

God’s home was my comfort

God’s will, was inside!

♡♡♡

But I chose to ignore God’s call

So I stepped out without Him

I packed all my belongings

I wanted to experience sin.

♡♡♡

I left my childhood Bible

I brought my worldly sack

I chose to walk away

I didn’t wanna turn back!

♡♡♡

As I stepped alone in freedom

My footprints came too

They quietly left their mark

Without my worn out shoes.

♡♡♡

Every time I turned around

They disappeared so quick!

I wanted my footprints to stay

But the path was no longer lit!

♡♡♡

Why are my steps vanishing?

Why are they fading away?

Where is the dark taking them?

My steps are vanishing today!

♡♡♡

My steps replied and said

“We have no lasting good”

“You stepped off track awhile back”

“We would have stopped you if we could!”

♡♡♡

You took these steps

Without God

You left His loving home

God didn’t preserve your steps

As you stepped out on your own!

♡♡♡

“As earthly steps, we vanish”

“We will never come back”

“Why don’t you step again”

“And pray for new steps”

“To come back?”

♡♡♡

How do they come back, I wondered?

Don’t all steps vanish away?

How can any steps last

As earth’s a temporal way?

♡♡♡

As I stopped and thought

My heart whispered in my ear

“Your steps that follow God”

“Will instantly re-appear!”

♡♡♡

These golden steps

Are God’s will

They will last beyond earth

These endure and

Don’t vanish away

They are supernaturally birthed!

♡♡♡

In my heart, I prayed silently

I knew these steps

Spoke truth

I hated to walk

In darkness

I now wore

Dirty boots!

♡♡♡

I tossed my boots aside

I scrubbed

My dirty feet

I begged God

To give me His steps

That walked on golden streets.

♡♡♡

God dressed my feet

With His!

God’s feet became my own

I stepped inside

His loving steps

I joyfully walked home.

♡♡♡

I paused and stared behind me,

I saw a pair of golden feet

They didn’t disappear

Like my old steps,

They stayed visible

On God’s street!

♡♡♡

They were left there

For you

God wanted them

To remain!

This poem I am

Gifting you with today,

Is written in Jesus’s name.

♡♡♡

Follow these steps dear soul

They will lead you to Psalm 103

Read these verses on your knees

God’s Word will set you free!

♡♡♡

  1. What a beautiful and heartfelt poem. Your words convey such a powerful message about the significance of our steps and the importance of walking in God’s guidance. I love how you captured the struggle between seeking worldly freedom and the peace that comes from following Him.

The imagery of footsteps and the contrast between the fading paths and golden steps is so vivid. It’s a poignant reminder that true fulfillment and direction come from staying close to God. I appreciate how you emphasize the beauty of returning to Him and the joy of walking in His will.

Thank you for sharing this inspiring piece. It encourages reflection on our journeys and the importance of inviting God into every step we take. I’ll definitely be meditating on Psalm 103.

Blessings to you, today and always.
