“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13)
Last night as I lay in bed, I felt the real presence of God!
My bedside lamp was on, and I was resting after a long day.
I suddenly felt God’s presence in a real, non imagined way.
I just knew God was with me in the room.
There was no introduction necessary at all.
God knew that I knew Who He Was.
There was no question about that.
I said, “I’m so glad you came! I love you God.”
God was simply there in the quiet, and thinking about this later, I wept.
“You came to me, God! Really? I can’t believe it!”
This personal experience, does not replace the Bible, but we need to share how God works in our lives, if this is God’s will, and where the experience is truly God Himself.
Thinking about God at the supermarket, I prayed while walking along the aisle!
Rejoicing!
I hope I didn’t look weird.
Here was this woman who looked liked she was talking to herself.
In actual fact, I was talking to God!
I never usually feel God’s presence like in the way I did last night.
I know that I am a saved child of God, Jesus lives in my heart and I have great peace and joy. But usually, I don’t feel God as such, I simply know He is there by faith.
When you feel the presence of God, the last thing you want to do is to watch “Nowhere” on Netflix.
I was just about to watch this gripping drama earlier on, but after only watching abit, I switched it off.
I decided to sing Christian songs on my acoustic piano instead and also prepare for the upcoming Christmas program at church!
It was the same thought that went through my mind as always, “God is better than Netflix.”
It seems the prayer, I prayed for you Willie Torris, to have a bit of heaven in your day, actually happened to me!
Willie, I hope God encouraged you too!
Funny how when you pray for someone else, God answers that prayer, and gives you, what you wished for them!
I wonder if I had not turned off Netflix, and had not sung to God on my piano, but rather stayed right there on the couch, would I have still felt the presence of God?
I don’t know.
But I am overjoyed that I decided not to crash on the couch. Because after this decision, God came.
This experience makes me desire God even more.
He is truly real and truly with us.
I felt His actual real presence but I cannot prove this to you!
Will His felt presence return?
I pray and hope so.
One thing I do know, is that what we are doing, when God’s presence is known, is very important.
If I was crashing on the couch watching Netflix, would God have observed this and just let me be?
What I learnt today, is that there is wonderful beauty in choosing God Himself.
When we seek God in everything we do, we experience the supernatural and our own personal faith is strengthened.
This week, I am on super high alert.
Waiting for God! π
God’s presence is so very special, He is like the rarest diamond that can never be found until He actually lets His presence be known!
Then we experience something so precious that a soul who hasn’t even felt the presence of God yet, is moved to tears by someone else who has. This then encourages them to keep seeking the real Christian God of the Christian Bible!
God is 100% real and not just in your imagination. π
I was walking outdoors enjoying some fresh beachy sunshine today.
I was nursing fresh wounds from a private battle I faced yesterday.
I had just taken two rapid- panadol, I had drunk a large cappuccino from Zarraffa’s coffee and I finally had the strength to move my exhausted body.
I looked around and noticed the usual.
The houses. The cars. The street. The lawns. My back pack I was carrying.
Then as I looked, the view changed to heaven.
I saw no cars. Meaning, you thought of a place and you were there instantly. No travel needed.
I saw a skip bin outside someone’s house. I thought about the fact that there would be no rubbish removal in heaven.
I thought about my cacao almonds and choc chip crunchy peanut butter bar in my bag. I thought about the absence of food in heaven.
I saw the weeds in someone’s garden. I thought about heaven having the perfect length of grass.
I noticed the limestone walls in the neighbourhood. Even the black grubby marks.
In heaven, the walls would be perfectly clean.
The streets would be made of gold!
I think now about my sunglasses. The light in heaven is perfect there. How odd not to squint anymore!
I think about my tiredness and sore feet.
I think about the pink windcheater tied around my waist that says, “Good things are coming. Believe.”
I know that in heaven, I will never tie a sweater around my waist anymore! Only because the weather conditions will always be perfect.
I think about yesterday. It was a difficult day for me. I attended some medical training and felt weak, incompetent and traumatised.
In heaven, training may still occur, but in perfection where my old flaws won’t exist.
My memory will be perfect there. I will no longer support someone who needs special care. A Support Worker on earth, won’t exist in heaven.
Everyone will be fully healed. π
I think about my mobile phone.
I am using this right now….
In heaven, there will be no earthly economy, no flat batteries, no annoying SMS messages and no online YouTube sermons.
Faith will finally become sight.
I think about the nice lady that walked past me today as I was sitting under a tree, typing this. She had a sandy coloured poodle/spoodle? on a leash.
She asked if I was OK.
I was perfectly OK.
I was just typing this post under a tree so I wouldn’t forget my thoughts. Perhaps I looked a bit lost.
In heaven, no one will ever ask anyone if they are OK.
“Are you OK?” seems to indicate something is wrong.
Thank God, everyone in heaven will be Ok all the time!
I think about the three beautiful teenagers I just met after writing this post.
One of them stopped me and asked to use my mobile phone to call his mum. He didn’t have any remaining credit on his phone.
I didn’t know these boys. I told him I would call his mum for him. She picked up and we arranged to meet near the boat ramp. As the boys didn’t know the way there, I showed them where to go. As we walked, I chatted to the boys. The twin boys were 14, and in year eight. The younger one who was 13, was in year 7. They all belonged to the same family.
They didn’t like school. Just like my fourteen year old son. My heart went out to them. I related so well to what they were saying. My year 8 was horrendous. That year I was bullied badly π’.
I bought them an ice cream each and we chatted.
The teenager years are hard! Imagine studying subjects you hate, having no money, being treated with a “herd-mentality” at school and feeling lonely.
We spoke about school, vaping and the dangers of addiction.
“Remember the three most important words”, I told them.
“What are they?”
One of the boys responded, “Do not vape!”
Nope. π
The three most important words are, “God help me.”
If you visit my Home Page you will read these words there. I always taught my kids that G.H.M. were the ultimate three!
One of the boys asked if I was a Christian. I told him I was.
Their mother came to pick them up and I went back to typing this post!
Back to what I was saying before about heaven….
In heaven, there will be no vaping! No one in heaven will be addicted to anything! Imagine your flesh never being harassed ever again.
Joyfully there won’t be any goodbyes in heaven.
I loved these boys already but I had to say farewell to them. I didn’t think I would see them again, considering the circumstances.
As I waved goodbye to the boys, I sat down by the boat ramp and continued blogging, for you.
Then, suddenly out of the blue, a lady walked past with two cute dogs on a leash. She had a short conversation with a woman standing near by. She left and continued on with her walk and the woman who remained, started chatting with me.
For a long time, we simply talked…two complete strangers, her and I! I found myself confessing my “secret fears” and the thought was, “I’ll probably never see her again, so it’s OK.”
We were both wearing sunglasses πΆ so it felt easier to pour out my heart!
I found out she was a Christian. I was very encouraged God brought us together. It was odd to share such personal things and I saw the freedom in these “once off and never again conversations.”
It made me aware of opening up “more” to people I see regularly.
It was just what I needed.
“Thank you, Lord!”
We parted ways and I went and bought myself an ice cream!
It’s interesting how one off conversations can be so valuable.
Even if it’s only one time, twice, like today….
This lovely woman and the teenager boys had no idea they were helping me!
God’s souls, are never a one off, to God.
These short encounters I had today, were with real people who God always saw.
Always heard.
Always loved.
Always was with.
Always IS comforting.
God is always with you and me too. β¨οΈ
βββ
Have a wonderful week, dear readers. I love you all.
I will be posting another article soon, titled, “Can a Christian starve to death?”
Sounds really gloomy but when you read it, you will be greatly encouraged.
Why do humans feel the need to tweak “self” before posting their own photos?
I think it is because people don’t like how they look.
I βΊοΈ prefer to let the insecurity of “self” go and rather focus on how God sees me.
He sees me without all the human trimmings.
How would I look if God took a spiritual photo?
I honestly think I would be shocked.
I would also be speechless.
Firstly, my denim jeggings, purple sport jacket and sparkly love heart necklace would go!
My good quality sneakers would mean nothing to Him.
The grey hair I don’t like, would disappear! That’s a great thought!
My brown eyes would not appear as you see them.
He would perhaps see the eyes of my heart, soul and spirit.
But the Lord said unto Samuel, βLook not on his countenance or on the height of his stature, because I have refused him; for the Lord seeth not as man seeth. For man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.” (1Samuel 16:7)
Would my “short term human face” cease to exist in God’s photo/mirror?
Would He rather “see” the qualities of heaven that He placed in me, right now?
Would there be light surrounding me that I cannot see?
Perhaps.
Or a look of heaven’s salt?
I really hope so!
(Christians are the salt of the earth.)
I don’t think my chubby bits would matter to Him.
What was in my current earthly surroundings, wouldn’t matter either….
Meaning the bench I am sitting on right now and the Swan River in front of me.
These thoughts I am having now, are profound, because we often worry about the earthly shells the most and God doesn’t want us too!
If you saw your soul’s reflection in God’s mirror πͺ, what would be the view β¨οΈyou would want God to see?
I would say, “The truth.”
Because really there is no escape and no false tweaking (like on a photo App) of the soul in front of a God who never allows a human image, no matter how beautiful, to be acceptable in His sight.
Just as a tree grows and we don’t see it growing, so it is with our soul.
Be encouraged! Just because you don’t see flowers and fruit growing inside your soul, the growth is still “there” and seen by God.
Don’t give up producing fruit of the invisible kind.
Fruit = growth.
We need visible fruits that are seen by the world, but there is also fruit inside “us” that God only sees.
These spiritual “inside-me” fruits are more important than the visible fruits we show others.
Why?
These hidden spiritual fruits are who we truly are on the inside.
They are not fake.
Who fakes it on the inside of self?
No one does.
One hidden spiritual fruitβ¦what is it?
Quick forgiveness. This is an inside act of “self.”
How quickly do you forgive someone on the inside of “self?”
God sees when we quickly forgive someone.
Truly trusting God on the “inside” of self is another spiritual hidden fruit.
No one sees this trust, but God does.
Thinking the right thoughts when everything is going wrong, is also another hidden fruit.
These thoughts encourage me today because it reminds me that God always sees our soul’s hidden personality and how we manage our 24/7 soul for His glory, is the most important work of all.

Pasteur saw no conflict between science beliefs and Christianity. He believed that science brings men nearer to God. As a scientist, he saw evidence of wisdom and design, rather than randomness and chaos. Pasteur said that, “The more I study nature, the more I stand amazed at the work of the Creator.”
But on another topic, I read something today about Christian atheism.
According to Wikipedia, “Christian atheism is an ideology that embraces the teachings, narratives, symbols, practices, or communities associated with Christianity without accepting the literal existence of God.”
In The Gospel of Christian Atheism, Thomas J.J. Altizer said –
“Every man today who is open to experience knows that God is absent, but only the Christian knows that God is dead, that the death of God is a final and irrevocable event and that God’s death has actualized in our history a new and liberated humanity.”
Today, I take a stand for God because I am not a Christian atheist. Jesus changed my life supernaturally! Becoming a Christian was the best decision I made in my whole life. After this happened, I never looked for TRUTH again as I knew I had found His pearl of the greatest price. He was the real deal and there was no more need to search anymore!
The poem I am posting below is about an atheist who wondered if God really existed.
SOMETHING TO REFLECT ON….
Many years ago, the famous atheist Voltaire claimed that within a hundred years, βnot even one copy of the Bible would be found in menβs hands.β
According to the Guinness World Records, the best-selling book of all time is the Christian Bible. It is impossible to know exactly how many copies have been printed in the roughly 1,500 years since its contents were standardized, but research conducted by the British and Foreign Bible Society in 2021 suggests that the total number probably lies between 5 and 7 billion copies.
Recently one of my readers got irritated at me for believing in the Bible.
Their message was simple, “How stupid can you be for believing in this book?”
They mentioned how it was all doom and gloom. Many parts of it is. I believe the Bible is true but I don’t like everything in it. I am a very sensitive soul and reading it, can cause me immense pain too. But if you look at real life, it is also full of doom and gloom sometimes. But do you disbelieve real life? Of course not. Because you see it. The Bible and “real life”, match in the sense that both are full of pain in some areas.
The Bible is very painfully honest! I hear you! But the Bible offers the answer to all this pain. Jesus! This is where it gets joyful and eternally better for you, right now! So keep reading π the New Testament and give God a chance to explain Himself.
Now think of an Escape Room for a moment.
My daughter Bianca, went to one recently.
If you went to one with a group of friends, would you all be fighting if you found the way out?
Of course not.
Getting out was the absolute truth, as you escaped!
Why should we be mad at each other for finding the truth together?
Next time a person comes along with a different religious belief than you, love them, listen to them, encourage them and joyfully say, “Lets pray π and find the real truth together.”
All human beings β€οΈ would like to know the answers to life.
We should not get mad at each other for believing in something different.
We need to gently work together with great love for each other.
We are not enemies. We are precious human beings made in the image of God.
This article I wrote below, is one of my favorite. If you are struggling to believe in God, feel free to read it. This was birthed earlier when I responded to Ratley who was not a Christian and simply did not believe! It is quite amusing!
“Are humans just a bag of chemicals and are all our thoughts, emotions and actions just a bunch of chemical reactions?”
“And would a bag of chemicals trust another bag of chemicals to give an adequate response to a question posed by bag of chemicals?”
Only fools say in their hearts, βThere is no God.β They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good! (Psalm 14:1)
Someone wrote the two comments above. I am absolutely certain about that as I just pasted them onto this page. π
These statements I wrote below would most certainly be coming from an atheist point of view…
Hello. I am a chemical.
You are a chemical.
Do you trust me, dear chemical?
We started from nothing.
We started from a bunch of chemicals. We believe that the big bang produced the universe. Later on, all by itself, life came into being, including us perfectly formed accidental humans.
Just like that!
We have no creator.
Faith in God doesn’t exist.
There is no hope of an answered prayer.
There is no hope of a miracle.
There is no hope of supernatural intervention.
There is no hope of heaven.
There is no fear of hell.
There is no divine Master Plan.
The universe never wrote us a book about Itself.
Itself is a mystery to us atheists but we truly believe in It.
It is our God.
It has no name.
We centre our whole life and beliefs around It.
We have no book to prove our belief in atheism. Even though we never witnessed the big bang with our own eyes, we still believe it.
I am absolutely certain that these beliefs above, are someone’s opinion. But not mine.
Philip Skell, formerly Professor of Chemistry at Pennsylvania State University, said, “When the facts donβt fit their creation story, secular scientists must turn to alternative βscientific lawsβ drawn from their imaginations.”
I am absolutely certain, secular scientists use their imagination. Hello conjecture!
So, I am absolutely certain that super brainy humans still cannot be trusted.
But God can be trusted.
I am absolutely certain God never uses conjecture. So, he must be 100% right!
I am absolutely certain about that!
Be thankful God is helping you to believe in Him, and not the questionable bag of chemicals!
Atheism points to nothing. It has no supernatural book.
Have you ever heard someone shout, “Hurray! This is the best day of my life. I just became an atheist and this belief, set me free. Now everything makes perfect sense and others are commenting on how much my life has changed since becoming an atheist. My atheist light has drawn others into my world and they too, are being transformed in ways I cannot explain! I am loaded with atheist joy, as I live as God in my full-chemical-freedom!”
Huh?
Weird right?
Great news4U dear seeking soul….
God’s Word points to everything. It has a book, the Bible!
If you google true accounts of people’s lives radically changing after reading it and then you google true accounts of people’s lives changing for better after becoming an atheist, you can decide for yourself which path makes the most sense.
God comes out “on top” every time!
I like what someone once said, “There are no real atheists in the emergency room.”
So keep praying, God will answer!
“Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” (Jeremiah 33:3)
I will be posting a new poem soon, titled “Atheism Doesn’t Make Sense.”
I am absolutely certain about that because the poem is almost finished. π
Present good habits, help to stop future bad habits.
These habits have helped me in every day living….
Putting encouraging sayings on my fridge. When I wake up, and feel the worst, my eyes connect with the message while I am getting my coffee ready. This prepared message, is something I have thought of, beforehand, so it really hits the morning spot! It’s the voice for me, when I have no voice yet!
I put daily unique reminders on my phone that others may consider not the usual prompts. But who cares? It’s for me, no one else. For example, I set reminders for – ways to think better, good sayings, reminders to eat fruit and veggies, soul growth reminders and ways to overcome bad habits. The beep comes on at a set time and I often pray when I see the reminder. I ask God to help me in these areas.
I spend time with God in prayer even when I am not in the mood. This invisible relationship is hard, but it’s the most important one of all.
I keep pushing myself to write my poems4Me even when the motivation has left me. I write about topics that are very relevant to me personally. What’s the point of writing for others if it doesn’t help me too?
I pray before getting out of bed and I ask God to give me His strength. Who doesn’t need help getting out of bed every day? If you pray, “after” you step out of bed, it’s too late. Pray before your feet even hits the floor. That way, as you walk to the bathroom and start getting ready, God’s strength is supernaturally activated as you already asked Him for help.
I always make sure I have my Bible on my chest of drawers, near my bed. This serves as a reminder that I need to read it.
I always make sure I have at least one good book to read on any day. This sits by my bed too. Even if I don’t read it daily, it comforts me that I have good reading material close by.
I go for nature walks “in the sun” and also do strength training at the gym.
When I feel stressed, I leave home in the morning and find a nice cafe and order a delicious coffee. It’s cheap compared to buying an expensive breakfast.
The change of environment really helps me. I am cutting down on costly breakfasts, so I pack a protein or breakfast bar in my bag.
I purchase beautiful sounding, gentle piano sheet music πΌ so when I play, I have a song I love β€οΈ, that is tailored to my subjective ears, not yours. Feed your ears and your soul will be glad!
I try to learn new things even at a snail’s pace. Origami is something I enjoy!
Even in cold weather, I still try to go for walks. Today it was raining but I desperately wanted to get out. So I did. It was wonderful.
I try to think the best thoughts, when I want to think the worst thoughts! (7am)
I live 5 minutes from the beach and I try to go there as often as possible. Yes, even in winter!
I write at helenolenjin.life, and I edit, proofread my poems and articles plus I create and maintain the site! It’s a calling/ passion, and I pray that my readers are encouraged by my personal ramblings. Habits! Yup. Even here.
I do online work/ learning at the library on my laptop. To stop the learning habit is to die. The library is my home away from home. My family don’t bug me there!
I struggle a lot every day but find these routines are helpful and eventually, I see soul-progress!
I still repeat certain bad habits but some of the routines above, stop me from making more poor choices. So I guess, these habits are worth it.
A new poem is coming soon. About the God that didn’t answer and the God that did!
If you are new, please subscribe today and feel free to read my poems right now.
By the way…stop writing perfectly all you new bloggers! Just be yourself, mistakes and all! If you try to write, edit, proofread, design etc..at WordPress, you will be put off writing, entirely!! I am in bed typing this and I feel tired & 100% organic. That’s how natural writing needs to be. Not perfect at all and in any place!
Today, I want to answer this writing prompt in my usual, unusual way…by twisting it, to suit my writing needs!
Who do I spend the most time with?
I spend the most time with God.
Even though I may not be aware of His presence all the time, He is always in my mind and never leaves. Now that I have just written this sentence, I have an awareness of how Him and I, are always together 24/7. That’s huge!
Usually when we think of spending time with someone, it is with another human.
Today, I am thinking about the other me, “inside me”.
The one you never see but the one God always sees.
She is the one I spend my whole life with.
Spending time with yourself, is one of the most important inner relationships you will have.
This intrapersonal relationship exists in your mind.
This poem that I am posting today, talks about the significance of that me to me relationship.
We often forget we are there.
This is because we are spending time with other people.
“Self” gets lost in the process.
When we become aware of “a healthy self”, it is easier to build a *m.i.n.d.* relationship with God.
Then instead of saying, “It’s just me to me, we say with full confidence, it’s always, God and me!”
“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”
(Philippians 4:8)
You are always a we
Never a me
Know that your mind
Is God’s supernatural design.
God is always inside
Your silent inner place
The words you speak here
Aren’t muted or late.
God reads your mind
As if your words are
Spoken aloud
He hears them instantly
Even in a crowd.
This outside noise
Doesn’t make it
Hard for God to hear
He still hears your mind
He is very near.
He made your mind, His
It doesn’t belong to you
He made it to be heard
But with only you.
God and you
Are always a pair
You cannot exclude him
But He is always there.
What are building
Inside this inner space?
Is it a mind of poverty
Or God’s daily grace?
Dear thinking soul,
You are building all the time!
Not with cement and bricks
But with God in your mind.
Your mind is like a world
That you cannot see
You can’t stand in
Front of the mirror
And see it visibly!
Remember your mind is hidden
IT talks to you all day long
IT can’t see outside your head
You must guide IT instead!
Consider that a thought is one brick
You then add more and more
There is no building company
Inside your head,
It’s only you, thinking more.
As you think more
The bricks grow and grow
Until finally one day
A new structure shows.
Not a visible
Building outside your mind
But a dwelling that you imagined
Of a hidden kind.
Stop and visit these buildings today
Open their doors
And listen to what they say.
Are these structures sound
And fortified in heaven?
Were they built
With Jesus
Or God’s truth hidden?
You forgot God, was there
When you built without Him
There was a lie planted there
It grew stronger with sin.
The enemy added “one more”,
It was a deceptive brick of his
He always built his foundation
You didn’t notice, it was his!
Do you see a building that’s huge?
Do you see a building that’sthe tallest?
It’s the one that towers over the others
And God’s building is the smallest.
God saw humans build, one brick at a time
He was always watching their thoughts
They ignored His design.
They thought they knew better
So they ignored His bricks
Instead they used Satan’s
And he made their minds sick.
Do you see a building that’s the strongest?
Do you see a building that’s sad?
A building that’s spiritually empty
A building that makes you mad?
Aye yes, I saw mine too
I built it so very high
I took the enemy’s bait
I believed his lies.
Then God healed my mind
He crashed Satan’s design
He uprooted the lies
Of a dysfunctional kind.
With a renewed mind
I see IT today
I see IT in God’s mirror
IT speaks to me today.
Dear child of God
Be careful
Dear child of God
Think right
Your mind is
God’s holy place
It shines with heaven’s light.
Leave God’s light on
Every time you think
Remember to build
With golden bricks
God always
Hears you think!
Written by Helen Olenjin
Psalms 127:1-2, “Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.”
Sometimes I like to sit and do nothing in my free time. But then I remember that I can share an encouraging post with others.
I love what Charles Stanley said, “Refocus on someone to serve, not yourself, and your loneliness will dissipate.”
Then funnily enough, when I give “this free time” to God, I end up in a better place. Only because time spent for Him, never is a waste of time.
I hope you enjoy the poem I wrote below!
If you feel you have nothing left in life, but God, then know that He can never say this to you…..
God knows what you need
“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
I like to discuss topics that “help” to change me, for the better.
My topic today is about the observation of people and why they behave the way they do.
I’m still puzzled about a lady’s behaviour I observed this morning.
I just saw her walk away and I am still wondering why…..
I am sitting in the Coffee Club right now.
When I feel stressed, I like to leave my home and go out and relax. That is precisely what I am doing now.
Next to me on another table, was a lady. She looked like she was waiting for her order to come. Sure enough it did, and as I looked over, I saw the waitress bring over her plate. It looked delicious. I saw toast and scrambled eggs. I imagined how much she would enjoy it. You know that feeling of satisfaction you have for other people, even though you haven’t eaten the eggs yourself?
But then something odd happened.
She stood up and simply walked away.
She left her full plate of food.
Did she eat a little bit?
I’m not sure as I obviously wasn’t staring at her. But when I looked at her table, after she left, the food was still sitting there and it looked untouched.
Why did she order it, pay for it, then simply leave?
Then shortly after, a man came to her table. I thought, “Maybe that is her husband and the eggs are for him.”
But they weren’t.
The man simply removed the plate and proceeded to sit down. He naturally thought the table was vacant. Which it was.
When I observed this refusal of such good food, I thought about how people refuse God’s free gifts.
Every day, He offers us good free food. Not literally like the scrambled eggs, but rather soul-food, that comes from His Word.
Jeremiah 31:3 – “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.”
Every day, He sees human souls push away Hisfree love.
Why?
Is it because God’s goodness feels too good to be true?
In this world, nobody believes in freebies!
We think, “If it’s free, it must be poor quality and second hand.”
So instead of accepting God’s free love, kindness and forgiveness, we choose to push Him away, because this sort of goodness, feels impossible and unreal.
Like an unimaginable perfect freebie!
But, what if you simply accepted God’s free gifts today, where you 100% knew it would not come back and bite you later?
These gifts are on the table for you today.
There is no evil catch, in God’s message of love for you.
God’s love is a free gift.
God’s grace is a free gift.
Jesus is a free gift.
I prayed for the lady who left the Coffee Club.
Did she receive some bad news and then had to leave?
Did she feel sick?
Whatever the reason, there was One, she always needed. Eggs or no eggs.
It was God.
Did she recognise she needed Him all the time?
I have no idea.
No matter how good or bad life is, one fact remains.
God’s love is 100% free.
You don’t need to pay Him back for anything.
Even if that lady’s eggs remained untouched on the table, if she walked out knowing God loved her and could help her in everything, this lesson would be the most important, even without the eggs being eaten.
Look for GodYou will find HimSeek Him with your whole heart, soul and mindDon’t stop praying God is everywhere God will help you
I like to share my poems and writings on social media. Here is my latest reflection below….
Jeremiah 23:24
“Can anyone hide from me in a secret place? Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?β says the LORD.
A wandering lost soul, searched for the place that God had “made” just for her.
A place where even He, didn’t have the key.
The soul looked for her own tiny piece of sky that only belonged to her.
Was there a place to hide under His sky?
A part of the sky that God never saw?
Was there a door for her, God couldn’t unlock?
Only because He made the door, and then promised not to peak inside?
What there a place to rest her soul, where no one looked for her?
“I am so weary,” she said.
“I don’t want to be found.”
So off she went.
She looked everywhere.
She looked for her place to rest, alone.
She looked for a place where God could not read her thoughts.
She looked high and low.
She looked up.
She looked down.
She looked for no one but herself.
She looked for a place where God wasn’t.
Did she find a place without God?
No.
She only saw more and more of God.
She found God everywhere she went.
God was on every corner.
God’s presence was found in every place on earth.
“Am I a God who is only close at hand?β says the LORD.
βNo, I am far away at the same time. Can anyone hide from me in a secret place? Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?β says the LORD. (Jeremiah 23:23-24)
God wasn’t hiding!
God was in full view.
God was reading all her thoughts.
“You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.” (Psalm 139:2)
He was in her mind.
Always.
God was inside every soul.
God was invisible.
But He was still everywhere.
She then stopped.
She thought.
“God is not going anywhere.”
“God is always there.”
“God can never be lost.”
She understood.
She then said, “God, because you are everywhere, I am everywhere too.”
“Only because you carry me inside your heart and your heart is everywhere.”
Then she understood what she never understood before.
God had made her heart.
“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” (Genesis 1:27)
God had placed His own feelings inside her.
She was created to love Him and others.
“Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.” (1 John 4:11-12)
God was so big that there was plenty of Him to go around.
His heart was so big that it covered the whole world.
She then understood how big God’s love was.
His heart was the biggest heart there was.
His omnipresent heart was big enough to love the whole world.
She knew that God’s Word was true.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
