The coolest thing we found was a guy’s wedding ring! We still have it. We have no idea where it came from. There are names/engravings on the ring. I am still hugely puzzled how it came to us. I still have not solved the mystery. We didn’t find it on the ground, it was in my husband’s toolbox/belongings at home! ❤️

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever found (and kept)?
If you are a new subscriber to helenolenjin.life, this poem video I created earlier, is for you today. I wrote this poem, truly truly! Definitely not AI! No cheating here! But the design from Canva includes AI pictures. 😊
AI will never be able to ursurp authority over the Holy Spirit. As Christian writers, we need to trust God to give us “His words”.
No earthly programs can proof read/edit God’s words! Whew! What a relief that God’s Word stands firm! This fact is encouraging for the Christian writer who is called by God to encourage others.
Another new poem is “almost ready” to be published here at helenolenjin.life. Yea!!!! As a Christian poet, I rejoice that God has given me an amazing new gift! ✨️
I would love to make more scary decisions! Sometimes there is risk involved!
But….
Do not confuse decisions with souls!
You are not your decision. Your soul is fixed!
Your decision isn’t.
Even if you made a decision that wasn’t the best, your soul is still intact.
Sometimes wrong decisions are made!
But your saved soul in Christ, is never wrong. This is where real freedom lies.
Decisions can become like idols.
Meaning, we can look to them for help and support and focus entirely on the decision and its outcome.
What happens when you make a decision that is a mistake?
God is still left, right?
God Himself is always greater than your decision!
The decision is always the lesser.
God is greater!
This thought gives me great comfort.
Why?
Only because I need to make significant decisions this year. I know some will be probably wrong!
But God never is.
I need to learn to place my faith in God Himself, not my decisions.
When our faith IN GOD is greater than all our DECISIONS, even if some decisions are wrong, we still learn to put the onus on Him to direct us elsewhere if we are moving in the wrong direction.
Don’t place priority in your perfectly made decisions.
They are not God and important as decisions are, they need a full time leader. God!
If you place full faith in all your decisions and forget all about God, your decisions are running 🏃♀️ on empty.
God is not the back up plan after a failed decision.
He is always The Plan.
Make decisions.
But always with God.
If you can’t make a decision because it feels too risky, it doesn’t matter! God is never risky and He will decide for you at just the right time.
Choose Him 1st and the decision takes care of itself later….. what comes “after God” then doesn’t really matter! Because you chose God to begin with! If you think about it, nothing comes AFTER God. God is already the absolute!
Humans are always looking for a way out. A way of escape. A way to leave the heaviness of life.
The “body” truly feels heavy.
Not only do we carry ourselves around every day, we also carry our minds too.
This invisible noggin, is usually the heaviest place. If we were to weigh IT, I am sure it would weigh more than our physical body.
How then does a Christian feel weightless and truly free?
Even when life itself feels very heavy?
I think a good idea is to think about the perpetual freedom of your saved soul!
Not the heavy feeling of human-self.
A child of God has a soul ✨️ that is washed in the blood of the lamb.
This blood has set your soul free.
Your soul has been eternally redeemed!
If you feel weighed down physically today, at least the most important part, your eternal soul, isfree in Christ.
I think we prison our redeemed souls without being aware of it!
Huh?
How can the cross of Christ be in chains, behind bars?
Jesus’s death came to set us eternally free.
Recently I had a huge “never before” awareness. I realised how shackled my soul felt. This spiritual ball and chain lie was from Satan. This weighted LIE was the hindrance! But it was a sneaky weight. It had been hidden for so long that I didn’t recognise whereitwas! It had been hiding in my soul! Sneaky right?
Often we try to remove “weights/burdens” via weight loss, workouts, mental health therapies but all the while, the weight never leaves us. Why? Only because we missed the most important place of all. Weight in thesoul will never disappear by human means. Only Jesus can remove these. His death on the cross for our sins, removes these burdens forever!
I thought, “This weight should not be there. I am a saved child of God. Why am I even putting the cross of Christ behind bars?”
Jesus came to set our souls free! Not to imprison them again!
Now I understand….
My authority in Christ is in my redeemed soul!
There is no weight here!
Satan works hard to put the cross of Christ and your soul behind bars! Our pure white soul and our wedding garment, is the area he attacks! He adds invisible weights that we don’t even recognise are there! He aims to defile the cross of Christ so that our redeemed souls surrender to chains ⛓️ again!
When I change my perspective to God’s truth, my human body still feels heavy but now it’s different!
I 🥰 recognise my saved soul in Christ no longer carries Satan’s chain.
So there is no longer a heavy body and a heavy soul.
Only a heavy body and a light soul.
Your heavy body is the subordinate! Its lost already!
Your redeemed soul is the LEADER.
My fleshy burdens must submit and bow to my redeemed-soul! In this place, the power of Christ works fully.
If you feel heavy today as a Christian, don’t believe the lie that you must enter a new spiritual prison! This prison does not exist for a believer in Christ. You left that prison for good when Christ saved you!
You may be suffering today in some way but you are still free-in-Christ no matter what and even if!
You are saved in Christ and eternally free.
“At the cross at the cross where I first saw the light, and the burden of my heart rolled away. It was there by faith, I received my sight and now I am happy all the day!”
The more you talk, the more likely you are to sin. If you are wise, you will keep quiet. Proverbs 10:19
“Your silence is not a void to be filled. Let silence be your signature.” (Author unknown)
We sometimes think that the power of persuasion is in the tongue. But it is in God’s Word, not ours. Trust God to bring the prodigals home. Trust God to help you say less in every day life. Often we try to speak more. But then we fall flat on our faces. Now I see that less is more! The power of God, doesn’t need my words! Enjoy my new poem.
Love Helen Olenjin ❤️
I see the weakness of my tongue
I see the power of the Son
He often said little….
Why can’t we be like that?
“Have faith in God”
It’s as simple as that!
Think about that person you want to change
Then trust God in silence
God knows their name!
Silence is not always golden
Sometimes you must speak
Sometimes your words
Are God’s messages
That encourage the sad & weak
God will judge our silence
He will judge our words too
Sometimes words cause pain
But silence can too
We often think words win!
We talk on and on
We try to teach others
We come on too strong!
All the while God is watching
He doesn’t say one word
He hears us speak aloud
He quietly observes….
We think we have the power
With this one little tongue!
But ask yourself this question
“Is my tongue greater than the Son?”
Stop trying to change another…
By using the power of words
Your tongue can easily sin then
You feel exhausted, & not heard
Give your tongue to God!
Resting from words willheal…
Your little waffler takes a rest
With heaven’s holy seal!
God’s seal is peace & rest
His hand has closed a door
Your tongue sits behind it
Your tongue speaks no more!
You suddenly feel God’s peace
That comes with a resting tongue
You allow God to speak…
You don’t hurt anyone
You relax in the stillness
Then God unseals your door
Your tongue is free to speak now!
But it’s different than before
Your tongue sins less
Your tongue is wise
It’s not a chattering bird
God heals without your human tongue
God doesn’t need morewords!

Sometimes we need words. Sometimes we don’t. Sometimes God wants to hear our words – when we pray, when we sing, when we repent, when we encourage, when we share God’s Word….Whatever the case, God’s words and God’s silence, are perfect for the time.
♡♡♡
My prayer today is, “Dear God, help me to speak and help me to remain silent at just the right times.”

“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.” John 16:13
You can never go wrong by using your spiritual noggin, after preparing physically!
Naturally you would already prepare for physical emergencies the human way.
But what is often missed in emergency-prep, is preparing your soul.
How would that look like then?
Pray to God today and ask Him to help you prepare even now for that emergency that will happen. He already knows every single future emergency that will happen on planet earth. With His hindsight that is always there even before emergencies happen, He is the best equipped to prepare you.
Make sure you are comfortable with God now. Make sure you are comfortable with God now. Repeated twice on purpose! How can you suddenly be comfortable with calling on a God in an emergency, when you never pray under normal circumstances?
Make sure that the state of your soul is right with God and man, all the time. When this happens, any physical emergency will look entirely differently. Only because you prepared the most important part of your self. Your soul. A strong prepared soul who knows their God is faithful, will endure an emergency well, even if it’s only a physical one.
Never prepare for an emergency when the emergency is happening. It is too late then. Do you know how I prepare for emergencies? I regularly pray that God goes ahead of my family and I. I pray that He ALREADY provides help, even for events that haven’t happened yet! What does that even mean? It means that God knows the emergency is going to happen, and orchestrates events prior to the event, so that everything will turn out OK.
Make sure you have accepted Jesus into your heart before any emergency happens. If you haven’t yet, pray and do it now. Only because today’s emergency may be your last! This one you may be never coming back from!
Once your soul-is-well, the “physical emergency prep work” will sing. Yes, literally! Only because God Himself never experiences emergencies and you don’t need to either. It’s simply changing your perspective to the way God sees things. When you do, this helps to greatly reduce fear as He already knows.
Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord listened attentively and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and esteem His name.Malachi 3:16
The books were about souls
The pages were alive
Each book was about a person!
Some souls had even died!
Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good! Psalm 14:1
“Do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?” (Matthew 6:25)
The Word of God is the most delicious thing I have eaten!
The taste is not always sweet! The taste is not always bitter. When I feed myself with THE WORD, the ultimate taste of HOPE, is the one thing that remains. This stays sweet in my soul.
Enjoy my new poem below!
The poems I write, are to bless you. Not impress you.
Since publishing this post, I have had visitors from unique parts of the world, places I haven’t even heard of! That’s amazing! I’m humbled and excited to write ✍️ in “rhyme” for my Saviour!

“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” (Matthew 6:26-27)
It was healing for me
To call Your name
I spoke to You
It was not in vain
♡♡♡
I asked for help
Day after day
I fell on my knees
I had so much to say!
♡♡♡
I was in year 11
When I gave
My heart to You
The students
Who saw me
Had no clue!
♡♡♡
I felt odd, like a misfit
I was convinced I would
Never serve God this quick!

I didn’t want to become a
Christian in school
I was waiting for later
I had to look cool

This poem is my story
Of how my life changed
This is a true story
Not an online game!
♡♡♡
I left Adelaide after year ten
A new page turned over
I wasn’t baptised back then!
♡♡♡
I felt all alone
In this W.A. State
I was sixteen and naive
Without any mates
♡♡♡
I heard a Christian song
Playing in my Father’s car
I felt deeply touched!
We had not travelled far!
♡♡♡
Two sisters were singing…
I heard their words so clear
They had beautiful voices
God truly was near
♡♡♡
They sang these words…
“Long ago on a hill
Hanging from a tree
Was a man I did not know
He was calling me”
♡♡♡
“But I turned my back
On Him, and I walked away
Distantly I heard Him say
Come with me today”
♡♡♡
The fight was real
I had to choose right
I could follow God’s will
Or Satan’s evil likes!
♡♡♡
I kept kneeling by my bed
I pleaded in prayer
I asked God to take
The wrong desires away
I knew He was there!
♡♡♡
It was a really tough battle
To fight and conquer sin
But I did it on my knees
And God helped me win
♡♡♡
I finished year 11 and 12
Truly born again
I was baptised at the beach in Perth
It was raining back then!
♡♡♡
On the way back home
A double rainbow
Splashed across the sky
I know God was rejoicing!
He had saved, Christine and I!
♡♡♡
She is my sister
And I know we are
Spiritual twins
We were baptised
On the same day
And I never regret
Following Him!
♡♡♡
You cannot find God
In your own strength, my friend
He does the work for you
His help has no end!
♡♡♡
I felt a peace and joy
I had never experienced before
This was because it
Was total surrender
And I always hit the floor!
♡♡♡
My knees bent down to pray
I was desperate to be saved
Now I am still serving God
After my high school days!
♡♡♡
I am 54 years old now
I know my faith is real
I know I am sealed with
The Holy Spirit
I know the Bible is real!
♡♡♡
Are you looking for
Another faith?
I hear you ask today
You have been
Following Jesus too long
Isn’t there a better way?

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the light”
Lately I have been writing poems about worry. I will be posting them soon. They will encourage you.
The poems are a reminder to stop worrying and trust God.
What crossed my mind today after reading my draft poem?
This thought….
We often justify worry and think we must worry!
We treat worry like a friend, we nurture it, feed it and allow it to grow. It is almost like we protect worry in blankets of justification.
We say, “If I don’t worry about this, I am not normal. Any logical thinking being must worry!”
Good news dear believer in Christ!
You are not normal.
You are not logical.
Children of God do not function within the confines of earth. We live on an entirely different planet! So yes, you can face difficulties differently as you learn to unwrap worry real fast!
Meaning….no longer justifying worry’s choice by keeping IT warm and fed. Worry gets bigger when you feed it more. A Christian needs to starve worry to death. We need to unwrap it, expose it to the cold and fling it off into the distance, never to be seen again.
This sort of flinging, is divine. God gives you and I full permission to cast worry away, for good.
Many people treat worry gently, they don’t fight worry and they invite worry in unknowingly.
It’s very interesting that I had three “worry not” poems written in draft format and they were all sitting back stage, waiting to be published. Then my hubby lost his job! Suddenly! No warning. Then I remembered my three poems I had started writing, even before this happened! This topic was exactly what I needed. Thanks to everyone who prayed for us. Great news…My husband did find a new job, praise God!
God’s message to me was very simple – “Worry is forbidden! You are not allowed to worry.”
In this realisation, I was very encouraged. I knew God was teaching me to have zero tolerance to worry and I had to stop worrying for good.
The good news?
As you are reading this now, I see you nodding! You are unwrapping your worry, you are no longer protecting it and you are exposing the real enemy behind this!
Satan!
My new poem is my gift to you. I pray that it will change your life forever!
Please keep an eye out for it! It will be published shortly via this blog.
In the meantime, if you scroll down, the “Godly Indignation” post will come up immediately. This cracking-the-crack concept, will help you to stop being passive-in-battle.
I would love to tell Christians about cracking-the-crack!
I made up CTC this week!
My hubby said something to me today that really encouraged me!
He said –
“You thrive in diasters!”
Meaning, by inference, when life gets tougher, your happiness grows!
He likened this to the fungi growing after the Chernobyl disaster! I had no idea about this kind of fungi growing then!
I was thankful my husband told me this because I realised that I too had grown in very difficult circumstances.
It was the realisation that in the awful messiness of life, things can still grow.
I don’t rejoice in hardships, but I learn to rejoice in my God! A lot! So I give God all the glory!
As we go through another crazy season in life, I find myself surviving yet another storm.
Recently I was exhausted! I begged God to bring me rest and peace! Instead the storm kept going! So I had no choice but to continue with the battles of life.
But then a very interesting thing happened.
As I did not get the rest I desired, I faced the storm! Through it, I got sharper, more stimulated and wind blown! Even stronger! Only because I had no choice to stop the gale. So in the gale, I kept going with God’s strength and then I became curious….
Jesus is the master of your storm
This storm was not stopping. I noticed new strength I did not think I had.
It was a new dimension of a Christian storm I had never experienced before.
What was this new dimension?
It was a brand new dimension inside me that I have never had before, until now!
It was called the 53 year old Godly Indignation!
The great G.I.
This AHA! G.I. moment, can be the precursor before the fruit of the spirit called PEACE, truly grows in our lives.
Sometimes we develop greater fruits of the spirit only “after”!
Tribulations often come first!
When we realise that Satan has lied to us for too long, we fiercely protect our future growth in God, even before new growth happens.
We learn to say indignantly, “I already choose the default setting of PEACE in the new storms to come. This peace shows God I am putting my trust in Him. The enemy has no right to steal my peace!”
In my case, I said –
“You are not gonna kill me, storm! I am done with believing 53 year old lies!”
( That’s my age!)
A storm is a workout 💪 for your soul!
“I believe God! He doesn’t want me to worry in this 53rd gale!”
But bigger than all of this, is the old-peace that God has put in your and my heart! You know that old-peace that passes all understanding? It’s the ☆comfie slippers feeling that everything will turn out OK. It must! Because God is always OK.
Put your soul in God’s slippers and rest! 😉
God is fully in control and taking care of His children.
Yes, that also includes you and your loved ones!
I made up this LOL poem below today and shared it with my husband.
I hope it encourages you too!
It’s funny but true!
Crack the crack with the WORD OF GOD
My poem
I thrive on opposition! But so do you! When your under pressure… You must not crack too!
Crack the crack! Don’t let the crack, crack you! For in fighting the crack, You build muscle too!
Not visible muscles, But POWER inside! These muscles are attached to your soul, They grow bigger When tried!
Your soul muscles are pressed now… Their hurting I know! But soon your crack will be invisible Because you Learnt to say NO!!
NO, I will not crack! I hear you say to me! This crack is My opponent (Satan) Who will never Crack me!
