Do you trust your heart more than God?

Many people are open minded to everyone except Who?

God.

When God is taken out of the equation, a soul submits to a false absolute of truth.

Imagine living your whole life trusting your own heart only.

I don’t trust my own heart.

Do you?

During a very difficult time in my Christian life, I switched off my own heart.

Why?

Only because I knew that if I relied on my own heart, I could have been terribly led astray.

What was the outcome of my heart being turned off?

The end results were mind blowing and staggering.

In this new place, I learnt about God’s ways even more.

My Christian faith grew.

I loved others more.

I started to heal from past traumas like never before.

All because I switched off my own heart!

How did this even happen?

1 John 3:20!

“………God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.”

If I had used my heart as the final authority, this false absolute would have blinded me!

I am very thankful that God taught me that His heart was the only One that could be trusted perfectly.

God starts outside your own heart.

Not inside your heart.

This place = no mistakes.

This place where God is, is where you are not.

Quoted from Nancy Leigh DeMoss, from Brokeness:The Heart God Revives –

“The fact is, when it comes to spiritual matters, we all have a family history of heart disease. We must be willing to let Him examine our hearts and diagnose that which we may be unable to see for ourselves.”

“The Good News of the Gospel is that the Great Physician has made available a cure for our deceived, diseased hearts. Jesus came to do radical heart surgery- to cleanse and transform us from the inside out, by the power of His death and resurrection.”

Only God has a perfect undiseased heart.

Only this kind of heart, can be trusted fully.

My Christian conversion was impossible.

But then it wasn’t.

It didn’t just happen inside my heart.

It happened inside God’s.

Then when I submitted to His heart 1st, I let Him guide my heart.
